Raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Tom lives with his wife in suburban Nashville, Tennessee.
Tom has been the writer and producer of five nationally syndicated radio and television
shows: The Nashville Record Review, a weekly, four-hour country countdown show
heard on over 300 radio stations; Country’s Most Wanted, a weekly, two-hour country
music show featuring current chart hits and artist interviews; Nashville Nights, a five-
hour show broadcast live each weeknight from Starstruck Entertainment, the media
complex owned by country superstar Reba McEntire; Dallas, Live From Nashville, a five-
hour country music show featuring current hits and artist interviews; and Country
Request Live, a video request show broadcast weekdays on GAC, the Great American
Country cable channel.
While serving in the U.S. Army, Tom was the public address announcer for all military
ceremonies at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and earned a Certificate of Recognition
stating he was the “Voice of Fort Jackson.”
His company, Tom Underwood Voiceovers, includes a studio in his home where he
records voice tracks for national customers plus internet narration for European
companies. He can provide audio for clients as mp3, wav, or aiff files to be e-mailed to
the customer, or on CD for physical shipment. He also owns DJ 4 U, a mobile disc
jockey company for private parties and events. Tom has been heard on major radio
stations like 95.5 The Wolf (WSM-FM, Nashville). He records hundreds of on-hold
messages each week for MuzakVoice. He is now also heard as the voice of Radio
Nostalji, 107.4, an oldies station in Istanbul, Turkey, and on radio commercials airing in
Madrid, Spain.
